SUP PACKAGE - £50 inc life jacket

  • This board is well suited for:

    • Perfect for solo paddlers, tandem paddlers or those looking to take a long a child or a pet 

cobb oven - £25 + £3 per fuel

    • Convenient & easy to use. 8-10 briquettes, charcoal lump wood or COBB CobbleStone cooks almost anything

    • Truly portable, use it almost anywhere

    • Healthy cooking with no flare-ups

    • Safe to handle, the base stays cool whilst cooking

    • Made from stainless steel all parts are dishwasher safe, except the mesh base which needs wiping down

bedding set - £20 / bed

  • In addition to the mattress topper and protection sheet provided as standard we can add a duvet and pillow set for you for a small additional fee. Perfect for the guests travelling from further afield.

pop-up tent - £20 (small) / £50 (large)

  • Depending on party size living space can be at a premium. We have small pop-up and large pop-up tents available.

    The smaller tent the DS300 we use more for storage but can sleep up to 3 persons for a true night under the stars.

    The large pop up tend is intended as a full on living space ideal if you plan to stay somewhere a number of days or have a larger party size to accommodate. We've used for both storage, living and the essentials like drying washing on longer trips. Note this is an autonomous option as our preference for an outdoor space has been to not require attachment between van and tent which we find results in considerable faff.

pet fee - FREE

  • At Lunar Campers we LOVE dogs!

    Unfortunately though dogs usually require more time to clean at changeover.

    Note at our discretion if we find that the van is returned without any need for a deeper clean we exclude this fee.

    The VW California can happily accommodate 2 smaller dogs and up to 1 medium sized dog.

Second driver - £20

  • Our insurance can allow up to 2 drivers. For a small fee we can complete the additional paperwork required to avail of a 2nd driver.

    Note that each driver will need to ensure proofs of address, DVLA checks are completed per the New Hire Lunar Campers Admin Form.

binoculars - FREE

  • Over in the Islands it's quite frequently possible to see some birds of prey. We have Ospreys around Aviemore, Kites over in the Western Islands, Golden Eagles and Peregrine Falcons we've seen on our travels.

    In the lochs also sometimes possible to see Otters and it's great to have a great pair of binoculars it really brings it to life. Highly recommended and takes little space!

bicycle rack - £15 (fitted as standard)

  • If you require to use our VW bicycle rack we charge a nominal fee just for wear and tear on it.

    We have a local contact whom can supply hire cycles.

    Locally the Tarland trails offer fantastic level of mountain biking, we can provide guidance on some nice road bike routes also.

    The cycle carrier can accommodate up to 4 bikes. Note large wheeled mountain bikes do fit but accommodating 4 bikes can become very difficult if tyres are wide etc.

    If using the rack note that getting into and out of the boot space is still possible but requires a person to be stationed at the tailgate at all times.
